Poll Everywhere appears to engage my students more than asking to share with the whole group during prompts.
Excellent for collecting and upvoting questions for a speaker during a presentation!
Great tool to enhance interactivity in class and to use as a check-in for stress levels prior to class.
PollEV is handy for the number of polling options it offers and for the customize-able nature of its activities. My critiques are twofold: sometimes, the nature of the interface can make it complex to use. When I want to launch an activity in class, I frequently find myself clicking the wrong buttons or accidentally closing a window/ access to student data. It's not straightforward to operate, and there are a lot of ways to go wrong / click wrong in the moment. Second, there is a "fun" factor missing in the formatting of PollEV. I often prefer platforms like Kahoot or PlayFactile, just because of the sheer number of sound effects, animations, that brighten a class activity. PollEV is more professional as a tool, but less exciting to use.
I wish there was a pleasant, straightforward way to integrate response frequency/correctness directly into the Gradebook in Collab.
Polleverywhere is a bit clunky with very restrictive options. It serves a basic purpose for classroom interaction but systems like MobLab are better suited to create more engaging classroom interaction with more meaningful questions.
